Amazing food lovely atmosphere.

Amazing meal! I had the seabream, and it was absolutely delicious. The quality of the food was excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Cott Inn to anyone who appreciates great food. We chose to sit inside, but the outdoor seating area looked lovely too.

We visited The Cott Inn for Father's day after seeing the glowing reviews online. We were welcomed by a lovely lady that guided us to our tables. The outdoor setting was well put together with a great overall vibe. For starters we ordered the squid, chicken liver pate and brie wedges for starters. The chicken liver pate was smooth and creamy but was not served with sourdough as advertised. The brie wedges were hollow inside with not a great deal of cheese, and for £13.40 I'd have expected more than 3 squid rings that did not make up for with flavour (the cartilage wasn't properly cleaned either). As for mains we had two sunday roasts and a burger with fries. The sunday roast was quite average; potatoes appeared reheated with no crisp to them, with a small portion of flavourless supermarket gravy between two people. The meat was quite plain with no succulence. In terms of my father's burger, it did not fair great either, as he said the meat didn't have a significant flavour profile and the entire burger began falling; the portion of fries were thin, hollow and dry. The saving grace were the desserts; the rhubarb and custard cake and the sorbet and chocolate orange delice which were fantastic. As for service, it was okay. We weren't checked up during our meal to see how our food was. Overall our experience can be summarised in one word, average. We left relatively disappointed and will not be returning.

The staff were amazing and the location was lovely however was a bit disappointed with the roast not a fan of the condiments added to the plate underneath the gravy without any prior warning and the roast had an unusual sweetness to it which I personally didn’t enjoy! However the potatoes were lovely! Yorkshire puddings were dry and the meat was cut too thin but I would like to go back and try the full menu

An absolute delight! Excellent welcome hospitality better than you could expect and a breakfast which was outstanding. 10/10 would recommend and would return keep doing what your doing

Traditional British pub in a lovely tiny place. Service is superb and food is amazing.
