Tampa has a lively LGBTQ+ community and several fitness options that welcome gay members. Here's what's available — from the explicitly gay-oriented clubs to mainstream gyms with welcoming reputations.
Tampa Men's Club
An all-male health studio in Drew Park — 45 flat-screen TVs, state-of-the-art exercise equipment, group showers, steam room, outdoor patio, and smoking area with a Key West-style atmosphere. The most explicitly gay-oriented fitness venue in Tampa.
Glorious Health Club and Dungeon
A genuinely unusual combination — gym, retail store, and gay art gallery. Large lounges, dungeon equipment, outdoor patio, showers, and free lockers. General admission (no membership required). Functions as both wellness space and a community social venue.
The Clubs
A private sauna and gym network — membership required, 18+ with picture ID. Specifically for gay and bisexual men seeking a health-focused environment.
Bayshore Fit
Limited-membership boutique gym — Peloton bikes, unlimited classes, recovery room, cold plunge, infrared sauna, strength training, and cardio. On Bayshore Boulevard. Gay-friendly reputation; the cold plunge and infrared sauna draw a wellness-oriented crowd.
Bryan Glazer Family JCC
Jewish Community Centre in South Tampa — competition lap pool, recreation pool, splash pad, heated spa, cardio equipment with personal screens. Open to non-members with day passes. The spa and pool facilities are the draw.
Tampa's Gay Scene
The Ybor City and Channel District areas have gay bars and clubs. Tampa Pride is in March; the area also draws visitors from the broader Tampa Bay region including St. Pete, which has a more concentrated gay neighbourhood around Central Avenue.
