Hostel Why Not Guemes

The shared room and bathroom are always dirty and in poor condition, the structure is bad, there are 2 bad electrical outlets in a room meant for 15 people, the lockers are broken and don't have locks, I was robbed and they did nothing about it, some employees are friendly but most are terrible. The refrigerator is falling apart! Other common areas are okay. Communication via WhatsApp is also terrible, very unwilling to provide correct information, they left us waiting in the rain even though we had asked if we could check in before the scheduled time.

Terrible service

I didn't stay at the hostel because upon arrival I was surprised to find that I wasn't registered, or my booking had overlapped with someone else's through Booking.com. Clearly, they didn't communicate well. Fortunately, they sent me to another hostel with much better communication and good service. They refused to refund my taxi fare and ridiculously asked for my ticket. How can you present a ticket for something you don't know is going to happen, like this? Very poorly managed and the service was terrible; they even grabbed my phone to check the conversation.

This place is a dump, fridge has 0 space and every shelf is broken making food storage improbable. Smells like a dog shit all over the property for some reason but you get used to it quickly.

SCAMMERS!!! I inquired twice and they quoted me 76,000 pesos for two nights (parking included). After transferring the deposit, they told me it was 90,000 pesos. I immediately asked for a refund, and obviously they didn't want to lose money, so they said they'd let me have it for 76,000. When I arrived, the receptionist tried to charge me another amount. I had to explain everything, but she ended up charging me 10,000 pesos for parking for two nights. In the end, they took the 90,000 pesos because they lied about the parking. I didn't even want to argue because you're supposed to be there to rest. The way they operate is disgusting.

I tried to make a reservation today. At midday, they told me the total cost of the stay was 180,000, and then in the afternoon, when I went to confirm, they told me that due to high demand it would be 195,000. Unbelievable!

Let us sleep. It was clear they don't care about schedules. But not only that, they also ignore complaints.
