an amazing visit

I visited and had lunch at the Patagonia restaurant. Everything was impeccable.

I had the opportunity to stay one night at the hotel, and the experience my husband and I had was fantastic! We traveled from Lima, Peru 🇵🇪 to Buenos Aires and then to Bariloche. Without a doubt, the best part of the trip was our stay at the hotel. I was able to do the archery activity that's included in the stay. They also have other included activities and others that cost extra. The sauna and heated pool were great, especially because they allow you to enjoy the hotel facilities before check-in time and even stay until after check-out. They looked after our luggage because we went out to explore the hotel and also to finish the Circuito Chico (Small Circuit). Everyone was very kind. We will definitely return. My husband and I are planning to come back for our next wedding anniversary, God willing, with our baby 🥹♥️ If I had to mention something that could be improved, it would be the parking fee. We had to pay 38,000 pesos for the rental car. I think it should be a service included in the room rate. And apart from the fee they charge us for lodging, we had a great time, we're very happy. Porém, gostaríamos de registrar que nos sentimos desconfortáveis com a abordagem recebida ao tentar conhecer a confeitaria do hotel. Entendemos perfeitamente a política de consumação mínima, mas a forma como fomos tratados passou a sensação de que visitantes não hospedados não eram bem-vindos. Nossa intenção era apenas conhecer o ambiente e tomar um chocolate quente durante o passeio. Deixamos este comentário de forma respeitosa, apenas como feedback, pois acreditamos que a experiência poderia ter sido mais acolhedora.

My experience at Llao Llao was extremely disappointing and did not live up to the reputation and expectations associated with the hotel. We stayed for 3 nights and were surprised by several unexpected charges at check-out. We requested a late check-out and left at 2:30 PM, but were charged the equivalent of an additional night for this service. In addition, the hotel charged a resort fee of USD 18 per person per night. What surprised me most was that, although we stayed only 3 nights, the resort fee was charged for 4 nights per guest, with the fourth night corresponding solely to the late check-out period. I do not recall this fee being clearly disclosed as an additional charge beyond the amount already paid when making the reservation. Another issue involved the room type. Our travel agency had requested a king-size bed for a reservation made for two guests. Upon arrival, we were checked in normally and were never informed that we were being upgraded to a higher room category or that any additional charge would apply. At no point during check-in did the staff explain that having a double bed instead of two twin beds would result in an upgrade fee. Only at check-out were we surprised with an additional charge of ARS 261,900 (approximately USD 220), representing the difference between a Standard Room and a Superior Standard Room. When we questioned the charge, we were told that this was what our travel agency had requested. However, if there was an additional cost associated with that request, the hotel should have clearly informed us at check-in and obtained our approval before making any changes. Charging guests only at check-out, without prior notice, demonstrates a lack of transparency. The location and views are truly spectacular, and there is no doubt that the surrounding scenery is one of the most beautiful in Patagonia. Unfortunately, that alone does not compensate for the overall experience. The food and dining options were also disappointing. There was limited variety, and the prices were extremely high for what was offered. Throughout our stay, we had the impression that the focus was on maximizing additional charges rather than delivering an experience consistent with the premium rates being charged. We left with the feeling that almost everything comes with an extra fee and that significant charges are disclosed only when the final bill arrives. For a hotel of this category and price level, we expected much greater transparency, better service, and a far superior dining experience. My recommendation for anyone visiting Bariloche is to visit the property, enjoy the incredible views and surroundings, but seriously consider staying elsewhere. Unfortunately, I would not return and would not recommend this hotel.
