Rommeo Hotel Sauna Fortaleza

It used to be good, today is a disappointment.

The sauna seemed large and well-divided. However, many areas resembled storage rooms. There were brooms, trash bags, and boxes. The showers were broken. And some rooms smelled terrible; they needed constant cleaning, we know what that smells like, haha. I found it illogical to have to pay for sandals, R$2; they could have included that in the entrance fee and given that amount at the entrance instead of at the bar. The sauna provides soap, condoms, and lube. I went twice after a party, and it was very crowded, which is a positive. I also visited the Eden sauna, which I consider better, although I went at times other than after a party, which I think influences the crowds. At Rommeo, there was a gay person working at the bar, wonderful and friendly.

Horrible place, completely filthy, nobody goes there, total decay, all saunas in Fortaleza are like this.

I'll even give it 5 stars. The atmosphere is pleasant, the music is good and at the right volume. The day I went it was clean, however there was a small problem that was bothering me: the employees were walking through the place and laughing at people. This was very rude and made me question whether it was a safe environment for customers to go there. Having people who should be providing comfort and confidence laughing at customers was quite embarrassing. The guy at the bar was very polite, but I can't say the same for the others. Apart from that, the place and atmosphere are very good.

Unfortunately, this place is no longer a good option in Fortaleza. The structure is visibly compromised, and the dry sauna was turned off on my last visit. Furthermore, there was a lack of transparency: the price charged at reception was different from what was advertised on Instagram. Business has dropped drastically, reflecting the decline in quality. I wouldn't recommend it to colleagues, much less to tourists. It's a shame, because it used to be a nice and safe place.

I enjoyed the forró band that played the day I was there. However, there are a few points I need to raise for the owner to consider. Security is one of them. The use of cell phones by visitors, people without any sense of responsibility. In short, I share this responsibility with the owners because there needs to be someone constantly monitoring the hallways. Why don't the suites have a lockable wardrobe or desk? If, for example, someone is leaving Fortaleza and leaves the hotel with luggage and their last stop is to have a "party" at the hotel, where can they leave their luggage and belongings in the safest place? Fortaleza is receiving people from various countries, both from Europe and Latin America. You are not keeping up with the city's growth. I hope this helps.

Dirty and smelly

Filthy and totally abandoned place. It looks like a scene of complete abandonment. Broken doors, an unbearable smell of dirt and mold, dark environments that are even scary to walk around in. The stench is constant and nauseating. Presence of rats and cockroaches, which in itself should result in immediate closure. The feeling is like being in an abandoned city hall construction site, only worse, because here they even charge to enter. It's unacceptable to call this a sauna. Lack of hygiene, lack of maintenance, lack of respect for the public. Broken chairs, the movie projectors practically broken, since there was corrosion on the lens, the movie on the floor below suddenly shows the same scene for 24 hours. An unhealthy, degrading and completely inappropriate environment for anyone. Money thrown away. One of the worst places I've ever been. They should base themselves on Três Chic, there the clientele isn't very good, but in terms of structure/care for the environment, it wins hands down!

Excellent place, it surprised me. The recent comments aren't true. The place is very good and I didn't find any GPs. The party was top-notch.

I think this sauna has the same problems as all saunas, except for one, regarding service. It seems that all theories of good service must be disregarded. At the entrance, you'll never find someone who greets you with a smile. At the bar, the lack of empathy is a hallmark. Only a few clients known to the staff are treated well. And this is true even in saunas I've visited abroad, and there were many. I won't even mention "eye contact" because the indifference of those serving at the sauna bars is palpable. I returned to Rommeo because of the clientele, which caters to what people are looking for, but if it were based on the service in any sector, it would be a resounding "I WILL NEVER RETURN." I won't even talk about the facilities or cleanliness because those have already been discussed, and in a way, those aspects wouldn't be important for what people are looking for here. The behavior of all the employees is misguided. Something unusual happened: I had just finished playing in a cabin, the person I was with left first, and I was getting ready to leave when the cleaning staff member looked at me and stared at me in an intimidating way, trying to get me to leave so he could clean. I decided to stay until he moved because I thought it was rude. My patience had run out. If I owned a sauna, it would have all the problems usually listed in the comments, but the service would be the main issue. Hire people who enjoy and know how to treat the public. They all have the same lack of qualifications. The only one I saw with pleasant service in all areas was in João Pessoa. Anyway, we evaluate and never see any change. Come back next year and everything will be the same. This space is only for venting, but change is a snake's foot. In any case, I will return because of the public, as I said before. Congratulations! You are just like all saunas: terrible service.
