Hôtel Praia Ipanema

I have stayed at this hotel before and my previous experiences were fine, which makes this situation all the more disappointing. This time I arrived with a confirmed Agoda booking, only to be told there was no reservation on file and that all rooms were fully occupied. Instead of trying to help, the staff simply dismissed me and said it was Agoda's problem. No effort to find an alternative, no apology, nothing. A hotel may be pleasant when everything goes smoothly, but the real test is how they handle things when something goes wrong — and this hotel failed that test completely. As a woman traveling alone, arriving in the evening with nowhere to stay is not just frustrating, it is a safety issue.

The service was impeccable.

The location would be great, but it's on an avenue and doesn't have a view of anywhere. The room is cozy, but for the price there are better options.

A huge thank you to the staff for being so welcoming, kind, and generous. The room is beautiful, the breakfast is delicious and had many options. The location is simply perfect. I will definitely stay there again!

Made a reservation 2 months ago for December, the reservation is fully paid and NON REFUNDABLE, this hotel just canceled my reservation claiming they fully booked for December 2026. Completely dishonest and terrible management, they cheating with people and playing with their life
