Gorgeous hotel with an excellent location. But what really stood out were the beds! They are the comfiest beds we’ve stayed in! We almost didn’t want to leave every morning! The staff are lovely and fruit selection at breakfast is amazing.

We stayed here for 3 nights, the room was a junior suite and really nice - we slept so well. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was first class, we used their e-bikes to discover Lima, we would definitely stay again.

This old house brings back memories. I knew the person who lived there for about 40 years, taking care of their relative. It had an amazing staircase built into the wall. I remember that behind the house there was a kind of mini-apartment where, supposedly, in the old days, the servants who looked after that family lived. I don't know if the furniture is still the same or if it's been restored, but the bathrooms on the first floor had unique tiles that I'd never seen before, and the bathtub and faucets were intact. Almost nothing has changed. I imagine why it's considered a heritage site, but it's great that it's preserved almost exactly as it was. Oh, and in that garden, the person who lived there used to bury their pets. Someday I'll go visit them.

Pros: The check-in process was very smooth. The staff kindly allowed us to check in early and helped carry our luggage to our room (second floor, Room 17). At first, the room felt warm and cozy, and the bathroom was comfortable as well. Cons: However, later that night, termites started flying out from the ceiling and gathering around the light. This was very confusing to us because all the windows were completely closed. We then realized there was a termite nest in the room, with more than 30 termites flying around. We contacted the front desk (we appreciated that they have 24-hour service). Unfortunately, since the hotel was fully booked that night, they couldn’t move us to another room. The staff did come to clean the room and sprayed a large amount of insecticide. When we returned to the room, there was a very strong insecticide smell—actually the same smell we noticed when we first checked in and opened the door, but at that time we didn’t realize the cause. Because I’m very afraid of insects, I was too scared to sleep in the bed for the rest of the night, worrying that termites might crawl onto me. I ended up staying in the bathroom for the entire night instead. The front desk staff that night did their best under the circumstances, but termites cannot be fully resolved with insect spray alone. I sincerely hope the hotel owner will address the termite issue properly and permanently.

Beautiful hotel, few rooms dimly lit. Hearing the birds outside was super relaxing. There wasn’t a lot that was complementary, but the breakfast was nice. The bacon lacked crunch though. Not as crowded as other hotels in the área, but also more expensive.

We had a very enjoyable 5 day stay at Villa Barranco. It reminds me of a family's private compound - quiet, cozy, personal. Old but updated. Not a generic chain hotel at all. My favorite part: Isaac, who runs the rooftop breakfast area. Every day he made us feel welcome as he shared amazing and delicious Peruvian foods. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you again Isaac, you made our stay truly special.

Beautiful setting in a quiet oceanside neighborhood. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Insisted on assisting us on every matter. Breakfast was really good and staff friendly and efficient.

The Villa Barranco is a lovely hotel. The room was large, and there was charming gardens and outdoor space. The villa is conveniently located to the restaurants and shopping in Barranco. The owner Patricio was friendly and very helpful making suggestions for Lima, as well as Cusco. He suggested a perfect one-day itinerary in the Sacred Valley, and helped to make a lunch reservation at a hacienda. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Lovely experience! The entire hotel has a cool vibe mixing colonial architecture bones with both contemporary and vintage art. The staff was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed one rooftop for delicious breakfasts and the other rooftop for pisco sours. The room was spacious and comfy. The location was perfect for wandering to cozy coffee shops and lively restaurants.
