Hôtel & Bungalows Unuwasi

Nice room and breakfast, beautiful view. For each extra use in the equipment of the place you need to pay and it’s not cheap (bonfire, jacuzzi…) We had fun, but for us , not enough value for money

For 5 nights, my wife and I enjoyed all that Unuwasi had to offer! From the amazing homemade meals onsite in the dining room (breakfast was included, lunch/dinner available at an incredible value) to assistance in setting up personal services for our trip (taxi, laundry, etc), Unuwasi can take care of every need. Located in the middle of the Sacred Valley (less than an hour's drive in either direction from all the popular sites), the responsiveness and attentiveness of the staff is unmatched. Experience breathtaking views and top-notch service at this boutique property. There's no doubt that you'll be well taken care of as you make memories for a lifetime and hope to one day return to this beautiful place.

Beautiful place! Erika was wonderful, providing us with everything we needed, and the food was delicious. The peace and tranquility at Unuwasi is unique; even the birds visited us.

Amazing little place to stay. Beautiful little cottages with a super attentive host. Quiet location within walking distance to incredible waterfall. They do great meals in their little dining room or they will deliver to your cottage. You can purchase firewood for a fire pit outside while you sip wine and look at the stars. Could not have been happier with this property.

Fantastic! The location is spectacular, and the hostess made us feel right at home. She helped us with excursions and was very attentive at all times. A very peaceful, beautiful, and charming place. We had dinner there one night, and the food was excellent.

My four week stay at Unu Wasi Hotel & Bungalows in Sacred Valley surpassed all my expectations of a “magical journey” to Peru. I was fortunate to discover such a beautiful location nestled between majestic mountain peaks, overlooking a valley just outside of Calca. The quiet but central location allowed day trips back to Pisac and Cusco, or in the other direction through Urubamba to Ollantaytambo and Machu Picchu. While all that makes this a perfect “home base” for exploring the “magic” of Peru. What was even more of a reason for me to recommend Unu Wasi Hotel & Bungalows, was how Erika the owner did everything she could to make sure I enjoyed my stay in her piece of paradise. Every morning I looked forward to being greeted by the smiles of Erika and her sister Julie, as I enjoyed a delicious and healthy breakfast that they prepared from fresh local fruits, grains, eggs and breads. Unu Wasi Hotel & Bungalows boasts a complete menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner, all freshly prepared. Erika is always busy paying attention to details with the eye of a designer. An amazing location for a destination wedding, and I saw how Erika coordinated one with ease. Above everything it was how I felt during my four week stay. I felt like I was family. That is the reason I will continue to recommend Unu Wasi Hotel & Bungalows and look forward to a return visit. Hopefully, not having to rely on Google Translate as much having learned more Spanish!

Pros: The bungalow were in an excellent position in the Sacred Valley surrounded by beautiful mountains with a easy walk to the waterfall. The grounds were neat and tidy and obviously well maintained. Cons: the bungalow are isolated and a bus or taxi is required to have lunch and dinner The rooms whilst clean and tide were smallish. Suitcases for 2 people had to be placed on the floor and were continual trip hazards. Our quoted price per unit was $80 US/ Night. Upon leaving we were told it was $80 US / person. We showed them the email we received for $80US / night which we paid after some discussion. Upon leaving, our bill included an additional cost of $30US for a small face towel that they claimed was damaged with face makeup. I asked to inspect the towel and when finally receiving it, I took it and within 3 minutes I had it clean (to their satisfaction) by using soap. They then stated a bath towel was also damaged but they could not produce it. Overall, the stay was pleasant but the attempt to rip us off at the end left a very poor impression of the accommodation. If you stay there then beware.

What a fantastic place to stay in the Sacred Valley! This place was so charming, away of the hustle and bustle, and was surrounded by breathtaking views. There is even a visible waterfall coming down the mountain that provided a calming background sounds. Unuwasi had all of the amenities of a modern hotel: wifi, comfy beds, satellite TV, hot flowing water. The common area had lots of fun things to explore. The host was very kind and accommodating. She made breakfast for us and arranged transportation so we could sight see that day. I would definitely come back and stay here again! Thank you for a wonderful experience!
