Fundacion Orguyo Aruba

Fundacion Orguyo Aruba is the island's main LGBTQ+ advocacy foundation, based in Oranjestad. It is best known for the legal challenge that ended in the Supreme Court of the Netherlands ruling in July 2024 that Aruba must open civil marriage to same-sex couples. A parallel case was brought by its sister group in Curaçao. Since the ruling, same-sex couples have been able to marry on the island. The foundation also does visibility and community work, including Pride activities. It has no public drop-in office listed. Use its website, orguyo.org, to get in touch or to check upcoming events.
