I track all calories. An app found this place and scanned my photo for total numbers. This dish had vanilla ice cream and fit my daily count well. The food was good and the dining room was comfortable.

One of the best dinners I have had! A definite #1 for Halifax! The service was top notch and the food was out of this world. I could not stop eating! They do something magical to the sourdough bread that takes it to a level that is beyond! I wish I could have had room for dessert as the sticky toffee looks amazing. I will be back on my next pass through the Halifax area forsure!

Great food in a chill atmosphere.

Eggs had a bunch of dried herbs on them made them crunchy, sausages reminded me of honey garlic bambino sausages. Toast and jam was excellent. Coffee is mediocre. Service was great.

The food in Edna is simply wonderful. Tartar as a starter was good, and the two fish dishes we had were perfect: halibut cheek and char with a Sauce Vierge both perfectly balanced. Service was excellent as well. Only downside was how loud it was.

Absolutely excellent - small but creative menu and flawlessly executed. Attentive and knowledgeable staff. Cozy atmosphere - chic without being pretentious. Great value compared to waterfront establishments. Hidden gem.

Superb dishes from starter to dessert, the duck and halibut were wonderfully prepared and well accompanied by sauces that enhanced them.

We went to EDNA due to the very positive reviews but felt that the experience didn’t quite live up to the (high) expectations. Some dishes were great (eg. tuna tartare starter) but others were lacking in flavour (eg. burrata starter) or were too biased towards a certain flavour (eg. too much smoke flavour in the clam bake and the pork tagliatelle). The composition of some dishes also felt odd to us rather than enticing (eg. the octopus special). Overall good but needs more refinement in the kitchen to be great.

Honestly, one of the few places in halifax i am comfortable giving all 5 stars. It was such a nice experience and food was delicious!! Especially the second hand smoked pork lol Ask the waitress 😜
