Stock Bar

Normally, I would leave a more positive review for this bar, which I've frequented. Unfortunately, yesterday, as it was approaching 3 a.m. and the bar was emptying out, my friends and I decided to have one last shot. When it came time to pay, my friend told the bartender that it's never expensive at Stock compared to other establishments around here and left a $5 tip. The cold and very unpleasant bartender tried to make my friend feel bad by explaining what he declares to the tax authorities and the taxes he pays—in short, that the tip represents his income. I find it deplorable that he resorted to lecturing customers after already leaving a substantial tip. I think it's a shame because this type of employee doesn't make me want to return to this bar, which I'm usually a regular at.

Worst attitude from the barmen Dancers are very bad

Be cautious here.. A group of friends and I, visiting from Toronto, decided to check out Stock bar for my friend birthday. Knowing the type of bar it was my expectations were low but it was much worst than I could have expected. Started off with a 22$ drink overfilled with ice and served in a plastic cup. My friends martini was really nasty, tasted like he dropped in a cup of olive juice even though we never asked for dirty. The barman seemed unhappy with the 15% tip we left. The group started off unimpressed to say the least. This might sound shallow but the all four of the guys preforming didn't really have the look you would expect from a erotic dancer bar. Most of them seemed high as a kite, flocking around us being very insisting on us buying them drinks. I kept checking to make sure my wallet was still there cause the vibe was super shady. My friend (birthday boy) was a little tipsy and had one of the dancers being very persistent in trying to bring him in the back for a private dance. Finally my friend gave in and decided to let loose and give it a try. Less than five minutes later he came back out with the dancer following him looking, both looking very upset. Apparently the dancer kept pulling him in to touch then slap a 300$ fee. He got tricked. My friend is not that type of guy. Next thing you know, the dancer and this big thug looking guy is forcing my friend to take out money, not allowing him to leave. I understand how these type of places operate but this was clearly a crooked way of business. My friend didn't even want to go in the back in the first place but felt bad saying no. I tried to talk to my friend but the man kept pushing me away saying that my friend needed to pay. So I asked around for the manage and to my surprise, the man shaking up my friend for money was the manager. Concerned for his safety we all put money together to pay so we could immediately leave. The entire situation felt extremely predatory and dangerous. The business model being to take advantage of vulnerable people is sickening. My friend didn't feel safe going out the rest of the weekend. I was told the owners own multiple bars in the village. It's sad cause I remember the village being a fun safe space. This was the opposite. Very unsettling.

Cute spot and cheap drinks!

I was there today, and the waiter poured red wine on my white wine, suede shoes, and my friend's clothes, without even a sincere apology. Not even the dancer who knocked over the glass apologized. On top of what I paid to get in, I lost almost $1000 worth of clothes and shoes.

Excellent place to unwind. Really interesting and well-organized events that are very enjoyable to watch. Good service and professional staff. ❤️❤️❤️

It is disappointing for a gay tourist to visit a strip bar in the village only to come across straight bar tenders. Straight bar tenders need to be more friendly, more approachable and fun if they were to work at a gay bar. And the ones at Stock Bar are not! Sorry!
