Barefoot Inn
Visitors frequently praise the Barefoot Inn for its clean, cozy, and homey atmosphere, often describing it as feeling more like a holiday home than a typical hostel, with a great downtown location. A common complaint is that the water can run cold after only a few showers, and some found the downstairs shower to be small.

Sabina is an amazing host, location is great and rooms are cozy. Walls are thin and some people don't know how to share a bathroom. But it is really an incredible deal and I am super grateful to Sabina for the accomodation.
Room without air conditioning. No shoes allowed. "Barefoot," as the name suggests. Parking nearby, but $60 from noon to 11 a.m. the next day. The welcome was abrupt but polite, due to the emphasis on bare feet. Nice backyard. Convenient for smoking. Quiet and clean.
Only thing that sucked was parking .
A small, clean, comfortable, charming hostel in a great location. There are four rooms, including some private rooms (not really a dormitory), a large kitchen and living area downstairs, and a small backyard. Good value for money; if we're ever back in Ottawa, we'll definitely stay at this hostel again!
Very clean and very well located.
