À propos de ce lieu Little Sister's

Little Sister's Book & Art Emporium is Vancouver's LGBTQ+ bookshop, open on Davie Street since 1983. The shelves cover queer fiction, non-fiction, poetry and magazines, alongside Pride flags, cards, gifts and an adult section. The shop is also known well beyond Vancouver for its long legal fight with Canada Customs over seized gay and lesbian titles, which went all the way to the Supreme Court of Canada in 2000. It sits at 1238 Davie in the middle of the Davie Village strip, so it fits easily into a walk past the rainbow crosswalks and the bars nearby. Staff are used to visitors asking where to go next, and the noticeboard is a decent place to catch local events.

Little Sister’s is such a special part of Vancouver. There’s a fantastic selection of books, gifts, cards and queer art, but what really stands out is how welcoming and inclusive the space feels. It’s more than just a bookstore - it has such an important history in Vancouver’s LGBTQ+ community and has been creating a safe, visible space for decades. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there’s always something interesting or unique to discover. Absolutely worth supporting and visiting whenever you’re on Davie!

Great store! Friendly services! Love this store since 1999 stepped in! Finally, after moving away downtown. Finally had the chance to walk into this store in 2026 again, managed to get a shirt that i been looking for. Sure lot of changes at this store since 1999. Deeply missed the original owners/manager at LSBAE.. Great new staffs and friendly, helpful!

This laundromat has been great for years. Machines are still good, though smell a bit of mildue. Prices went up recently to $5 per small load. That's wild. That price hike has to be past the point of diminishing returns, right?
