Hard to give a good review when you don't stay for longer than an hour. After you pay cover, when you walk in, you go to get your drink and youre greeted by one of those generative AI menus. Okay, I'll ignore that but I paid close to $20 for a cocktail back in the spring. Last night, I chose a water because there was too much going on, it was hot in the venue, a lot of people for the event that night, it was hard to make it to the bathroom in a crowd of people, and I didn't want to pay another $20 for a barely memorable cocktail. So I ended up leaving 🤷‍♀️ which was a shame because the music was banging for that particular event.

I am writing to express my profound disappointment and distress regarding my experience at your establishment on December 31st. As an immigrant celebrating my first winter and New Year in Canada, I chose your venue expecting an inclusive environment. Instead, I was met with humiliating and dehumanizing treatment. After working two shifts that day without eating, I was exhausted. While standing in a corner at the bar, I had two vodkas and a beer, and due to extreme fatigue, I unintentionally fell asleep while standing. Instead of checking on my well-being, security approached me aggressively to remove me. When I explained—both verbally and through clear physical gestures—that I was suffering from severe stomach pain and needed to use the restroom, my distress was completely ignored. What followed was beyond unacceptable. While I was in the restroom, a staff member repeatedly and aggressively pounded on the stall door, giving me a two-minute ultimatum to leave. The stall door had a large gap, which severely compromised my privacy while I was in a vulnerable, semi-nude state. Despite pleading for a few extra minutes due to my physical illness, I was forced out by two security guards into the -20°C weather at 2:00 AM. No one bothered to check if I was capable of safely getting a taxi or reaching home in such dangerous freezing temperatures. I was not causing any harm or trouble to anyone. To be treated with such hostility, with zero empathy for a customer in physical distress, is an absolute disgrace to the values of inclusivity and respect your venue claims to uphold. I have never felt so humiliated in my life. I will never return to your establishment, and I felt it necessary to document this inhumane treatment.

I love the karaoke nights here but the AI menus got to go. They are just so hideous looking.

Really wanted to have fun here because it’s close to my place, but I find it really hard to dance to music I don’t know. I know DJing is an artform and it’s considered “cheap” to play well-known songs and they don’t want to be human jukeboxes, but to be honest my best nights ever at the club have been when everyone was singing along to simple mixes of well-known songs. This just wasn’t it. My friends and I ended up leaving early because we didn’t like the music :/
