One of the best restaurants you’ll find in Santurce

This place is 5.0 stars. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Food is delicious. I am Puerto Rican and the cuisine has touches of Puerto Rican campo cuisine and reminds me of my grandma’s food but like high end. Loved.

Vianda delivers an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. Every dish we tried was outstanding—the bite size arepas were perfectly crisp and flavorful, the mofongo ahogado was rich and beautifully balanced, and the cerdo was cooked to perfection. We finished with the parcha cheesecake, which was an unforgettable dessert and the perfect ending to the meal. The espresso martini was excellent, and their wine selection complemented the food beautifully. The service was warm and attentive, and every detail reflected the care and creativity that goes into the experience. Without a doubt, I highly recommend.

Unfortunately, not recommended from my side. Expensive with small portions and compared to other food we have tasted in Puerto Rico nothing special either. Feels like a tourist trap. Atmosphere and design are very corporate and don't reflect the story the restaurant gives and gets you excited to come: farm to table. I guess this is for you if you are not a creative person and don't mind spending 100/person for a full meal (60 we spent for each felt like we just got appetizers). Food is not badly done but just not worth the money -- I don't think the food lacks creativity per se but feels soulless with that price tag, small portions and zero Puerto Rican or Caribbean vibe in decor around you. There are also several options on the menu that feel more western (whatever that means, generic European). Maybe good for white American tourists that have no imagination.

It had been a while since we'd visited Vianda, and it immediately reminded us why it's one of our favorite restaurants in Puerto Rico. The best part is that even if you've been before, they always surprise you because they change the menu seasonally; this time we got to try the spectacular June 2026 menu. We went for a date night, and the sharing of several small plates was perfect. Of everything we tried, the alcapurrias with chayote serenade and the sierra tataki (with passion fruit and mango ponzu) were the stars of the night—they were our two favorite dishes! We loved the fried chicken with green mango, but a tip for future visitors: the habanero sauce is EXTREMELY spicy (really, really spicy), so if you can't handle that much heat, I recommend asking for it on the side. As for drinks, the tomato cocktail (A Tomates Sí Huelen) was my absolute favorite—super refreshing and well-balanced. We closed with a flourish by sharing the **Basque cheesecake** with passion fruit and fresh mango that was divine. Impeccable service and exceptional food. Omg we had such a beautiful meal here! Every dish we got was perfect — alcapurrias, green goddess salad, fried chicken & prime strip loin. Friendly service, beautiful space - this was our favorite meal while visiting San Juan! Highly recommend!
