Every bite from this meal was quite memorable for me. From the beginning to end each dish had its own unique taste. Very bold and fresh flavors even down to the cocktails. Highly recommended!
My friends and I went here on Little Bear’s 4 year anniversary and we were completely underwhelmed. The drinks were mediocre and took over 20 minutes to receive. The food was trying too hard and expensive for the portions. After a $250 check, we left to get food and drinks elsewhere but not before they asked us to leave since they had another reservation coming in.
Excellent dinner. Unique flavors, perfect portions shared, and beautiful wine pairing. Best dinner I’ve had in years. Highly recommend!
Visited Little Bear for the Joyful Dinner Series for Slow Food USA. It was a set menu and all the dishes were tremendous! Staff was amazing! A great evening! Many thanks Chef!
Creative, unique dishes served in a funky and fun way! Modern innovation on cuisine is always welcomed, especially when it's done correctly. The atmosphere is very inviting and cozy.
Little Bear is a gem in the Summerhill neighborhood. From the minute you walk in, the staff and atmosphere is friendly and inviting. Amanda and Arch shared great recommendations, including the new prix fixe menu, which was a delectable introduction to Burmese food. I specifically enjoyed the OHN-NO KHAUT SWE, which is a take on the traditionally Burmese chicken coconut dish mixed with a chicken terrine. SO SO good. The dessert on the prix fixe menu was a semolina cake (SANWIN MAKIN) that was also to die for, but candidly, I also loved the Blondies & Milk from the a la carte menu because who doesn't love to dunk their dessert. Other clear standouts from the a la carte menu were the Dry Fried Tomatoes (wow), the parchment trout (sells out so prioritize), and the Five Lillies Chicken. Regarding drinks, Rachel at the bar delivered with classic cocktails and a more adventurous Pickle Negroni, which you just need to experience. Perfectly balanced and not overly pickly. All in all, the experience was amazing. I recommend going with a handful of people to be able to try different dishes. Definitely will come back soon.
