Bangor Pride
À propos de cet événement
Bangor Pride is the main Pride event in northern Maine, and the city has marked Pride for more than 30 years. It carries extra weight here. In 1984 Charlie Howard, a young gay man, was thrown from the State Street bridge in Bangor and drowned. A vigil at his memorial is part of Pride weekend.
The 2026 parade and festival were on Saturday 27 June. They moved from downtown to the Bangor Waterfront this year to get more space. Entry was free, organizers counted about 180 vendors, and 30 to 50 local groups and businesses marched. The theme was Color Our World With Pride.
The 2027 dates hadn't been announced when we checked.
