Modern Hotel

We've been here multiple times, just for overnight stays when we're in Boise. The rooms are always clean, well kept, and the staff is always polite and courteous. In different rooms we've been in we do usually have to hunt down the light switches, but we do find them. We've never used the showers, but the bathrooms and beds are clean and comfortable.

I haven't stayed at the hotel but we come in occasionally for drinks. They are very generous with their pours and their additional food or desserts are delicious. It's a good starting point for the night and then we wander for further into town to see what else is going down.

I’ve rented myself a room here 2 times now (both for a Mother’s Day getaway). I live locally and am aware of all the horrible motels/hotels in the area. Everything is either wildly expensive, or very dirty. Not the modern hotel. Both times the rooms have been clean and comfortable. The staff is amazing. Both ladies at the front desk are angels! Very kind and personable. I am so grateful that there are businesses that still want to do right by their guests. Modern hotel goes above and beyond every time. I highly recommend getting a room with a bath. The tubs are fantastic. I can’t stress enough how clean everything is either. You won’t regret staying here.

Great location, they have a bar, breakfast, safe place. What else you can ask for? Definitely will come back again.

The hotel was pricey for what it is. It’s a remodeled super 8. The room was funky with 2 doors. One went out to the back hallway, one opened to the front parking lot. Weird. It created confusion for our dog. Yes it’s sort of pet friendly. No grass to walk the dog and we felt scolded at check in- I asked about bikes and was told “you can’t leave your dog unattended” we weren’t planning to, but they made it clear you can’t. The server at the restaurant was amazing. Happy hour is 20%off but we went to order one of their cocktails and they were “out.” Darn. Free frittatas in the morning but the microwave reheat makes them not as good. No pool/hot tub and beds were old spring mattresses with down toppers. I am a side sleeper so that didn’t work for me or my husband. Neither did the recurring door slamming that started around 230am and continued until 345am. Interrupted sleep was aggravating to say the least. The shower was probably the highlight of the trip. But worth $170/night? Definitely not. I will go back to Hyatt just for a solid mattress and quiet night.

Staff is fantastic. Location is great. Rooms were clean. We had such a lovely time staying here.

We absolutely loved our recent stay. Sweet suite, dog friendly for our pooch, scrumptious breakfast and top notch staff. You can't beat the location.
