Rick Maguire is the founding singer, songwriter, and guitarist of the highly influential Boston-based indie rock band, Pile. Known for his distinctive vocal delivery often described as a mix of intimate melodies and a “howling wolf” snarl and unique, complex guitar compositions, Maguire has spent over 15 years steering the group from a solo project into a cornerstone of the American DIY music scene. He balances fronting the full band with intimate solo tours, performing stripped-back versions of the band’s catalog.
