McAlpine Creek Park

Charlotte's big east-side greenway park hides its cruising in the woods north of the soccer fields, between the trail benches and the two lakes. Early mornings and evenings see the most action.

Know before you go: Mecklenburg County rangers patrol, and the greenway carries steady jogger and family traffic — stay properly off-trail and out of sight, and keep it discreet. The park closes at dark officially; don't get locked into the lot.
