Le Morehead Inn

Had a relaxing stay at the Morehead. Mt. Vernon room was quite large, house was quiet, and breakfast was delicious. Would absolutely stay here over an uptown tower again.

Best time ever, great for a beautiful wedding!

My husband and I got married at the Morehead Inn this spring, and we couldn’t be happier with the venue. The details were expertly planned, and we owe a HUGE thank you to Brooke and the staff for making our day smooth, comfortable, and welcoming. The venue offer such historic charm in one of our favorite neighborhoods - we even had the chance to walk to a local coffee shop on the morning of our wedding with ease. Our guests also loved walking around the area and enjoying the surrounding neighborhoods and local spots. We stayed on site at the Inn, and while it was spacious, did come with old house “charm.” Some of the features are outdated (such as the bathroom toilet and shower) so they required some adjustment to use. But our guests felt cozy and enjoyed the warm breakfast every morning, which was most important to us.

What a darling and perfect Carolina venue! Conveniently located in town, but so private with mature shade trees and perienials throughout the property. The charm of the generations that Charles Campbell Coddington built in 1909 echo from the antique-adorned rooms, and are a perfect blend with the team that Billy Maddalon and his father Mark evolved since 1995. This landmark should be on everyone's visit list if you're just staying the evening, or looking for the picture-perfect venue for your baby-shower or wedding.

Such a quaint southern Inn! We had the pleasure of staying here for my nephews wedding and it did not disappoint! The staff is wonderful and so helpful! The breakfasts were yummy and filling - (and the house made granola was amazing) and the wedding - well all I can say is WOW - what a beautiful setting they created - and it was SO nice to stay on site for it all too.

We just got back from a fabulous weekend staying in the Carriage House at the Morehead Inn!!! A large group of family gathered for a baby shower for our daughter and her wife who are expecting a baby boy in June!!!! The downstairs rooms in the Carriage House were perfect for gathering before and after dinner at restaurants within close distance to the Inn. The breakfasts were awesome...and the caretakers of the Inn were so wonderful to work with to schedule various activities for and to accommodate our group. The suites are fully equipped...robes are lovely touches...the bed and furnishings are so comfortable and tastefully done!!! I will be back in Charlotte when our grandson is born and hope to stay at the Inn to be close to help the new parents and get special snuggle time with the newest member of the family!!! Definitely would highly recommend the Morehouse Inn if you find yourself in Charlotte!!!! Tremendous value and excellent experience!!! Linda

While searching for one nights lodging in Charlotte I came across this quaint and comfortable inn. The Morehead Inn oozes cozy from the moment you arrive. I was traveling w my friend for the Bruno Mars concert happening at the BOA stadium, we wanted one room w two beds that was walkable to the stadium but every place I researched was charging crazy fees to park and even the fees had fees! The Morehead Inn offered a comfortable stay at a reasonable price and included an amazing home cooked breakfast and free parking. We were able to safely walk to dinner (North Italia was fantastic) and the stadium. The Euclid Room was like a mini apartment with plenty of room for 2 women to be more than comfortable. The staff was amazing, location perfect and the experience outstanding. If you like the warmth and charm of an authentic inn over a commercial hotel, give The Morehead Inn a try! We can’t wait to go back.

Stayed here for a wedding weekend and had an amazing time. The inn itself was clean and beautiful. It felt cozy and elegant. The rooms were huge and we had a great time chatting and getting ready in them. The staff were amazing. They were accommodating and were able to answer all our questions. Shout out to Hannah who just anticipated everything and easily caught our vibes. The location was wonderful and quiet for the weddings and at night. It was also close to all the bars (10 min uber) so we still had fun. 10/10 would recommend for a wedding or relaxing vacation.

Our wedding at the Morehead Inn was absolutely perfect, and we cannot say enough wonderful things about the experience. The venue itself is incredibly charming, elegant, and full of character—it created the most beautiful backdrop for our day. Every space felt warm, intimate, and thoughtfully maintained, and there was such an incredible attention to detail throughout the entire property. What truly set the Morehead Inn apart, though, was the level of service. From the planning process through the wedding day itself, everything was handled so professionally and seamlessly. We felt completely taken care of, and it allowed us to truly enjoy every moment without worrying about a thing. We also have to give special recognition to Something Classic Catering and especially Brooke Burton. Brooke is one of the most detail-oriented, thoughtful, and caring people we have ever worked with. She went above and beyond in every possible way to make our day feel special, personal, and stress-free. She anticipated needs before we even realized them, handled every detail flawlessly, and made us feel so supported throughout the entire process. Her kindness, organization, and genuine care made such a difference, and we are so grateful to her. We could not have imagined a more perfect place or team for our wedding day, and we will forever be thankful to everyone at the Morehead Inn, Something Classic Catering, and Brooke for making it so memorable.

I am so glad that I was able to reserve a room and stay at such a cute Inn. I loved learning the history of the old home. The location was super convenient for me to walk to the hospital while my husband was being treated. I really enjoyed walking through the beautiful neighborhood every day! The service from the time I arrived was excellent and very attentive to anything I may have needed during my stay. I felt right at home and loved being able to walk over in the mornings for a home-cooked breakfast before heading to the hospital. Thank you for a wonderful week in your beautiful Inn!
