Grey Ghost Detroit

This was our first time going to Grey Ghost Customer Service was top tier from when we walked in sat at the bar. The experience was incredible bartender was so tentative recommending drinks to try the burger was delicious Brussels was best I had ever had . I would recommend this place 20/10 !!! Don’t change a thing ! The bartender was a vegan and you couldn’t tell because everything we had he never tried amazing.

This place easily became one of my new favorites. The baked oysters were packed with flavor, the beef tartare was incredibly fresh, and the gochujang shrimp had just the right amount of kick. I also loved that the portions were more generous than I expected. The staff were welcoming and attentive without being over the top, and the cozy atmosphere made the whole meal even better. I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying more from the menu.

We sat on the patio on Sunday. We ordered right away an appetizer and 2 entrees. We waited 50 minutes to get one appetizer. It was the octopus which is my boyfriend’s favorite food. Neither of us liked it, didn’t taste right. We told the server we didn’t want to eat it and she took it away. She never took it off our bill though. Our entrees were not very good either. It’s almost like they’re trying too hard to be different and really miss the mark.we’re not picky eaters at all but these dishes were not good. Without ordering alcohol, we spent close to $200 and with extremely slow service and left hungry. We went here because the reviews are great but really wish we went anywhere else.

Food is very sweet and oily! Nothing special at all. Drinks ok Will not recommend if you like your food to be tasty.

We came for the GG 10 year anniversary, which is also my husband and my 9 year anniversary. Adam was our server aka Black Seth Rogan and he was the BEST. Super kind, super friendly, super knowledgeable and attentive. The staff is always great about my gluten sensitivity. I let him know that I’m not celiac and cross- contamination is fine. He checked on my meals (which made me feel very comfortable and taken care of) and notified me that the sauce contains a small amount of gluten. He brought me the sauce on the side in case I wanted to try it. I had the scallops and they were cooked perfectly. The rice was amazing and the pickled veggies balanced the meal really well. The curry sauce was amazing - worth the gluten risk for me. My only complaint is that I wished there was more on my plate! I also had the grilled peaches which were delicious and tasted like a dessert. My husband got the whitefish dip, and Adam made sure the bread was on the side so I could have some of the dip. My husband also had the lamb ribs and said they were cooked perfectly and the sauce was super flavorful. We both also had the fries (always 10/10) and the blueberry affogato (OMG). We also loved our mocktails and appreciate that there are creative non-alcoholic drinks on the menu.
