Beyond disappointed with this hotel. I travel to Fargo often for work and usually stay at the Radisson downtown. Unfortunately they were booked last time I came through so I thought I’d give the swanky new Jasper Hotel a try. I booked a panoramic “suite” to enjoy the full experience of this unique hotel. From the beginning I was disappointed. Your competition - also cheaper by the way - has a MUCH better guest arrival experience. First of all, there is no dedicated drop off / unload area here. The main door for the hotel is right on very busy Broadway, and if you’re lucky enough to find a spot to park in front of the building you can maybe get unloaded. As a first time guest I would have loved the opportunity to park in front of the building and visit the front desk to learn where to park, how to navigate around… The directions for the parking ramp were very confusing, and once in the ramp, getting out on foot was a major hassle with endless locked doors to areas of the building you can’t access. Signage and the entire ramp experience needs to be much clearly explained during booking. FYI, the ramp is on the opposite end of the building as the hotel entrance and once inside the building it is a maze of awkwardness. Once you reach the front desk you end up in a weird bar, lounge, restaurant front desk hybrid room, where the front desk is tucked in a corner. I’m not sure what this room is supposed to be. It’s like the front desk was an after thought. Once checked in…. My “suite”…. Oh Lordy. Where to begin. The room is hardly the size of a standard hotel room literally anywhere in the country. Hardly a suite by any means. I think they get away with calling it a suite because they stuffed a “couch” in the corner. (again in quotes, may be one of the most uncomfortable “fainting couch” style piece of furniture I’ve ever seen). The mini bar in the room was cute, if you’re a booze hound. But I’ve never stayed in a suite that didn’t have in room coffee, a refrigerator and microwave. How can you call this a suite?? How bad are the standard rooms? For the price I could have booked several rooms at a different hotel. Will never stay again

While we did not pick this hotel (it was required by our hockey tournament) I was looking forward to it. I dislike staying downtown due to busy-ness but we found some awesome places to eat, and the room & bathroom were nice and clean. However, we could hear EVERY THING from the room next door to ours. Full conversations, the shower turning on, picking up things, opening a CAN! I was awoken in the middle of the night by the girl cussing and yelling. I felt uneasy and had to whisper when I was on the phone or talking to my daughter because I knew if I could hear them, obviously they could hear me. I am absolutely not a fan and will never stay here again. Every single person on our team complained of the same thing. So for being a newer building & “it place” to stay- honestly it felt like this should be an $80 room not the high prices they charge. Also at check in the gal literally walked away from us to run up to the 10th floor to see if our room was ready. When the man working with her stepped over to ask if she had helped me and I explained, he simply moved us rooms into one that WAS ready. So clearly they had them. It was an unimpressive check-in.
