Highland Lake Resort

Let me just say if they put you in room four on the north end you must be careful because this place does nothing for you. Trust me when I tell you they don’t care about you while I was in the shower. My wife had to use the bathroom, sat down on the toilet seat and just outside of the toilet seat, where the shower is they have pipes that are uncovered the hot water. My wife bumped her hand on it and got burned. I told the front desk please contact me. Nothing haven’t heard nothing. I wish I could add more to this picture with a picture. They got their building a new hotel there. Trust me maybe when you go there next time it might be covered Up because but the owner never contacted me and I have a picture. I should send that to The building inspectors in Maine, so needless to Say after four times thought we like it never again The owner didn’t even call to say sorry no reply at all. This is not a lie. Carla is amazing! Beautiful rooms! Amazing people!

I’m the location is cute. There was a table in the kitchen which blocked the door from opening fully, which was quite awkward. I think the owners did the best they could with what they had. The location and lake makes up where the resort lacks. It can definitely use a facelift with more functional amenities. Not sure if we would stay again, but it worked well for what we were there for.

We absolutely loved our stay! We booked the double room for ourselves and the kids. It was winter so we couldn't enjoy the lake as most would during the summer, but we had a great time. I was impressed that they had games in the room for the kids, even though they have an entire game room on site. You could tell they put a lot of time and energy into making it feel more like a home than a hotel, and the location was perfect for the purpose of our trip. When we visit the kids again, we will definitely be stay there again! The office doors might be locked at times, but the hotel staff is extremely friendly and responsive.

The rooms at the North resort were great. My coworker wasn't as impressed by the South side. The grounds were cute.
