Motel 6 Joliet, IL - I-80

The room was very clean. The rooms were a reasonable price. They are very nice, and courteous.

Comfortable sleeping peaceful environment

We were on I-80 looking for a place to stay for the night. We called several places and found the rates to be way out of reasonable range. Then came the Motel 6 in joliet. The price was $58 plus taxes. We weren't expecting much so when we got to the room we were beyond pleased. The room and bathroom were spotless. The bed comfortable. The Wi-Fi free. The front desk staff friendly and superb. I had some trouble conecting my phone to the Wi-Fi. Saul stopped what he was doing and got me set up in about one minute

Edit: I wrote my original review below before falling asleep in the room because I was already that upset with the state of things. It got much worse. Someone harassed us starting at 3am, banging on the door and trying to get us to let them in. We called the office and they didn't seem to succeed in doing anything. We ended up calling the police, not something we ever do, to eventually escort us to our car to leave at 4:15am after the person would keep leaving and coming back to knock on our door with various states of aggression. It was one of the most unnerving experiences I've ever had. As we were getting ready to leave we saw a bed bug crawl across the second bed in the room. Overall very traumatizing night. We don't have high standards and we needed a basic room to crash in after a wedding in Joliet. Perhaps it was my fault for just choosing the cheapest option, but this is one of the worst rooms I've ever been in. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a horrible smell, like someone had been smoking cigarettes in here for ten years. Absolutely beat to hell toilet seat, looks like people were putting out cigarettes on the wall. Towels were not clean. I would never come back and I truly wish I could get my money back.

Nice place to stay. Very friendly and respectful guys. I recommend everyone to book with them.

Great service

I fell on bad times and ended up living at this hotel for almost 5 months. And the staff made me feel very welcome and comfortable. It’s definitely not an ideal situation but the definitely made it easier and I will forever be grateful for that

Old hotel with renovated rooms, but poorly maintained. They have microwaves and refrigerators. The staff at this branch are very attentive, polite, and empathetic. It's a very good exception in the Motel 6 chain.

Booked 2 rooms, one had such a strong bleach smell I had a headache the entire time I was in it, and the other room had multiple roaches in it. Neither room had sheets on the beds, we had to use blankets under us and hoped we didn’t move to much to move the blanket and come in contact with the disgusting mattresses here. Both rooms were dirty, no one took a shower because of the hair and filthy in the tubs.
