Gemini ♊ Out Dancing, LGBTQ+ Communities Here We Support Each Other... 🏳️‍🌈 ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜 💞 💯 🔥 Last night I wanted to go out Dancing, because it has been about 15 years since I had gone out to a Gay Dance Club or Bar. So, with the stress and anxiety of everything that I’ve been dealing with regarding my husband, David’s Terminal Illness over the past 15 months, I headed on out to Louisville to find somewhere to go. Mind you I had no clue after 15 years and never really going out anywhere in Louisville to know where to even start at. Fortunately, I knew of Bardstown Road, and saw a parking spot that was about 300 feet from the location of the gay bar that I would end up going to. It was named Big Bar, seemed nice, not too overly crowded, good security presence and the Vibe was on Point for me. The music that was being played last night seemed modern with a little throwback to times past when I used to go out clubbing all the time in San Antonio, Texas and Wichita, Kansas. Two different bar set ups on the 1st floor, which were nice. I am writing about my night out at Big Bar, because I really did enjoy my experience with the exception of a few minor details here and there. The floor setting was nice, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. People were very friendly, but a few were standoffish. That being said, when I mustered up the courage to go out to the dance floor, it was like I never missed anything in the past 15 years. I had fun, there were times when the dance space was a bit tight, but other times where it seemed like enough of the dance floor was available for just that, Dancing… The Big Bar was definitely a good vibe, definitely friendly people, a lot of enjoyment and not the type of place where you’d get lost in the crowd because the size of the bar is just about the right size for my enjoyment. The dancing did let me escape all of the stress that I had been going through for over a year now, and I look forward to more. I’m hoping to go back and definitely try to see what else Big Bar has to offer for someone like me. #louisville #lgbtq #gaypride #dancing #music

The DJ today 06/14/2026 was very racist, I understand it's an American bar but we request an Hispanic Bad Bunny song and he did not want to, I understand, its his music, but it was repetitive the genre. I guess that's the reason the bar has been empty lately

I walked into the outdoor patio after begging my husband to take us there after a day at the Oaks at Churchill Downs. I tried to go inside onto the dance floor and I wasI pushed TWICE by a 6 foot plus queen (I am 5’ 5”). I didn’t realize that it was “her time” and I wasn’t ’allowed’ on the dance floor. A security guard appeared for some reason. I left voluntarily, because I didn't want to spend another moment there, scared to my safety. For a community who preaches inclusivity and acceptance it was very jarring to be treated as a second class citizen. Please know that this bar only welcomes males

Love this place! It's fun and you get the best of both worlds. You can just sit and have a drink if you want or dance the night away. This is one of our go-to places to have a fun time. Highly recommended
