I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Amalia. After eating there, including the clams and octopus, I became very sick and ended up having to go to urgent care. I strongly suspect that something I ate at the restaurant caused my illness, although I obviously can’t say with certainty whether it was the clams, the octopus, or something else. I had to spend approximately $150 at urgent care and have been feeling extremely sick. What made the experience even more frustrating was how the situation was handled afterward. I spoke with the manager, Pablo, and unfortunately found him to be completely unhelpful and felt that my concerns were not taken seriously. When a guest becomes sick enough after a meal that they need urgent medical care, I would expect the restaurant’s management to show concern and take the complaint seriously. Instead, I was left feeling dismissed while also dealing with the cost and physical effects of being sick. This was an extremely upsetting experience, and based on both the illness and the way my complaint was handled, I cannot recommend Amalia.

We came here for dinner. Quiet and cozy restaurant, the inside is gorgeous. We sat on a couch that gave us the perfect view of the entire restaurant. We tried the tuna tartare, Burrata, and the branzino. Everything was amazing! The branzino was perfectly cooked with a lemon caper sauce. Will come back again! Service is great!

This was our first dinner this time in Miami and I fell in love. The waitress was so great, and the decor was next level cute. It made me want to stay in the hotel next time to be closer to this restaurant. Then the food came and it was so delicious! Every dish we got… the Carpaccio was so mouth watering melt in your mouth! Then the mushroom risotto was incredible as were all other dishes we had. I will absolutely be coming back here every time I come to Miami. The bill definitely added up fast, but it was worth it!

I really wanted to love this place because the atmosphere is beautiful and the presentation of the food is stunning, but the experience didn’t quite match the price tag. I ordered the Linguine al Frutti di Mare, which was listed as including scallops. After eating nearly half the dish, I realized I hadn’t seen or tasted a single scallop. When I asked my server about it, I was initially told that the scallops were already included in the seafood mix. After explaining that I definitely had not eaten any scallops and couldn’t find any in the pasta, she checked with the kitchen and suddenly scallops could be cooked and brought out separately. What arrived were five tiny scallops that looked more like an afterthought than part of a $38 seafood pasta. If scallops are advertised on the menu, customers shouldn’t have to search for them, question whether they were included, and then have them brought out on the side after the fact. The cherry on top was finding out the restaurant didn’t have red pepper flakes for the pasta. Instead, I was offered Cholula and Tabasco. I wasn’t expecting to season my Linguine al Frutti di Mare like a breakfast burrito. The pasta itself wasn’t bad, and the restaurant is undeniably charming, which is why I’m giving 3 stars instead of less. But for a $38 seafood pasta, I expected better attention to detail and for the ingredients listed on the menu to actually be noticeable in the dish. This restaurant has a lot of potential, but they can do better.

The menu features Mediterranean cuisine with subtle Latin American touches, and the chef's hand is evident in every dish, from the meticulous presentation to the well-balanced flavors. We tried several dishes, and all were excellent. The staff is attentive, friendly, and professional without being intrusive. They make you feel right at home, but with the level of care you expect from a restaurant of this caliber. The prices are in line with the area and the quality offered, which I think is fair considering the whole package: food, service, and ambiance. In short, I'll be back.
