Aqua Foundation for Women

Aqua Foundation for Women is a Miami-based nonprofit that works for lesbian, bisexual and queer women in South Florida. Its best-known programme is a scholarship scheme that pairs funding for students with leadership and mentoring work. It's an organisation, not a social venue, so there's nothing to drop into in the evening. The listed office is on Biscayne Boulevard, with weekday hours of 9am to 5pm. It has only a couple of reviews, and community organisations often move offices or change programmes. Check the website for current addresses, scholarship deadlines and volunteer opportunities before you visit.
