The Inn

A great location but when we were there in September, there was a lot of construction going on outside so a little noisy and a little difficult to get in and out of, but worth the effort

The Inn was a really unique place to stay in this area! We like to try accommodations other than standard hotels. Very authentic to the time period. The grounds were pretty. Room was clean. Kari was helpful. And we didn’t eat there but heard the cafe was really good.

We needed a few days of hiking, and wanted to explore Kettle Moraine. The Inn was great for that. The weather was glorious, the hiking restorative for the soul.

Keri and Jack are amazing people with great hospitality and the place they built is very authentic. Highly recommended

You HAVE to stay here! Kari is amazing, from her hospitality to her design details! Stayed in the Bed Chamber One and I can't stop thinking about it : )

My sister and I stayed at the inn while visiting my son.We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the cafe and antique store as well. Kari, the innkeeper was wonderful. I would definitely stay here again!!!

If you book the cottage be prepared for an unsafe bathroom, flimsy locks, and a rude host. - Bathroom is not private or secure — across common areas, with only a flimsy lock anyone could pop open and easy access to the lock-popping stick literally on the wall next to the door. - Room security weak — same code used for both the Inn and the Cottage. - Host unprofessional — accused me of wanting “privileges at no cost,” then demanded my credit card by text for bottled water I never requested, despite prepaid booking and was she was mad I paid a lower price on booking.com than what was on her site.

After seeing the advertisement in Primitive Place knew we had to stay here. It was wonderful. The ambience was superb Kari's hospitality so warm. Would recommend this to anyone who loves and appreciates our country's history!!

The Inn was a time capsule; I cannot find a better way to describe it… Filled with those “old times” vibes and nostalgia. The vintage architecture and furniture offer a cozy feeling. Kari, the owner/ Innkeeper was kind, and gave us a warm welcome, she also made sure we were accommodated properly. Lovely place, for short or long stays… We will be back for sure in our next visit to the Milwaukee area.

The room was great and included a private sitting area. A nice place to get away and relax with an old-world feel. The host was there to greet and provided a simple breakfast in the morning. Would definitely return.

We happened upon this Inn when looking for a place to stay after a music festival in Milwaukee. We love all things historical and quaint. This was the perfect place! Quiet, comfy and relaxing. The stone buildings and 1880's decor was amazing and the continental breakfast was delicious. Kari, you were a delight to meet. We will definitely recommend this place to others. The Inn is like stepping back in time. My wife and I fell in love with attention to detail Kari made to make you feel this way. She was very welcoming and provided a tour with details of the past. Thank you so much and God willing it will be here for a long time.
