Betty's a repris le coin de Burgundy et St. Peter que les habitués du Quartier Français connaissaient depuis des années sous le nom de 700 Club, et a conservé l'âme de l'endroit tout en ajoutant ce qui manquait toujours à la scène gay : une cuisine vraiment bonne. Il fonctionne d'abord comme un bar de quartier, avec des barmans qui apprennent votre nom, et ensuite comme un bistrot, servant des plats réconfortants tard dans la nuit quand tous les autres ont cédé aux tranches de pizza. Un contrepoint plus calme et plus amical aux méga-bars de Bourbon Street situés à deux pâtés de maisons, et un premier arrêt facile avant une tournée du Fruit Loop.

Old school pancake house. I recently went for a meeting. The prices are good and the service is better. There is street parking and a nice crowd for locals.

We're early risers, so we found this place since they were open. We're so happy we went! It was the best breakfast we had in New Orleans (after trying the Clover Diner, we wish we'd just gone back here). It's reasonably priced and delicious. The grits with cheese were great, and honestly the breakfast plate with pancakes is so much food for the price! Two large pancakes on top of everything. We didn't need the waffle we got and would totally just get the breakfast plate in future. The only improvement would be if you could choose between grits and hash browns.
