Stoney Creek Hotel Peoria

Check in is set by the hotel for 3pm. I indicated that we would be checking in at 4pm. We did not arrive until 5:30pm due to flight delays. We waited until after 7pm for our room. Upon getting to the room, we found it very unclean. The bottom sheet of the box springs hadn’t been changed in quite some time—full of hair, dust, and lint. The smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling by a wire, the living room tv had cords pulled out, the top of the fridge was so dirty and have a shelf laying on top of it. We had one partially used toilet paper roll and ended up buying our own. The porch had cobwebs and dead insects, so much so that we didn’t feel comfortable sitting out there. Outside the porch door, there were piles of cigarette butts and party trash everywhere. The floors were not cleaned and there was so much debris on the carpets, we limited taking off our shoes. The tub was dusty. And several light bulbs throughout the rooms were blown. There was no privacy curtain for the porch, so anyone could see clearly inside at night, even with the shade rolled down. There was tape left all around the walls, and it was clear from the dust and cup rings on the tables that nothing had been wiped down in some time. The fire place kept a constant flame and wouldn’t turn off when the timer ran down. We searched for a different hotel, but all were booked that met our needs. In addition, bar staff swore so much in front of families that it made everyone uncomfortable. We will never come back, and we will be sharing a public review.

Very nice,and clean hotel. Very big,so you can stop here with your little league team! Nice pool! There breakfest that comes with the room is great!
