Gay Softball World Series — 50th
À propos de cet événement
The 2027 Gay Softball World Series will be the 50th, and it is going back to San Francisco, the city of the first one in 1977. The GSWS is the annual championship of International Pride Softball, the association formerly known as NAGAAA. Five cities founded it in 1977: Los Angeles, Milwaukee, New York, San Francisco and Toronto.
The first series had two teams. Recent editions bring 190 to 270 teams from member leagues across the US and Canada, playing in divisions by skill level over most of a week. Columbus, Ohio hosted in 2026 with 267 teams. The host league runs the fields, the opening ceremony and the evening events.
The San Francisco Gay Softball League is preparing to host, and organisers said in mid-2026 that planning and fundraising had begun. No dates or fields have been announced. The series usually falls in late summer. The date we list is a placeholder, not a confirmed date. If you're travelling to watch, wait for the official schedule before booking.
