Not a safe space for transgender people. Bouncer was rude. And miss genders people

First time I went the drag show was delayed and I didn't see it, but I finally caught it and it was great! Felt very safe here, and the nachos are yummy

The drag shows here are great, tons of very talented performers. I will always continue to come here for the drag. As a bar, it's not my favorite environment. If they changed the playlist every once in awhile I would enjoy my experience more, but I can only listen to Pink Pony Club so much. I want to emphasize it is absolutely worth going to the drag shows. Their drinks are strong 👍

Bartender was exceptionally rude. Shouted at me, I shouted back. Acted like I kicked her dog. Everything else was excellent.

I have been coming to NYNE for about a year. It has always been really enjoyable from the good drinks to the fun drag shows. I wanted to leave this review because although I love NYNE, I will not be coming back due to the horrible service. Almost every time I have went to NYNE, there is a bartender named Melissa who is very rude. She acts like every drink you order is an inconvenience to her as if it isn’t her job. I am a nice person and even nicer while drinking, I have never had an issue with any bartender. Well, last night I went out to have a fun night with my friends after not being out for over a month. Mind you, I was ordering my 3rd drink, I was not very intoxicated. Anyways, she was extremely rude and yelled at me across the bar because I was trying to read the menu. She did not say I can help you over here or anything of the sort. She yelled “hello” at me in a very rude condescending tone. So i said sorry and ordered my drink. I was already put off by being yelled at for reading the menu. She didn’t hear me ask for a splash of pineapple juice so I asked again but instead of saying something like sorry i didn’t hear you she said “it’s loud in here and i can’t fing hear you over the music. I don’t have to serve you” I was apologetic at first but she kept yelling and cussing at me so I told her I do not want her to serve me a drink and I walked away. My friends and I decided that closing our tabs and going elsewhere was for the best. While in line to close our tab, she came up to me and was getting up in my space. I told her there was no reason for her to treat me that way, yelling and cussing at me and that we were j closing our tabs to leave. She then proceeded to tell the bouncer to kick me out because what? because she didn’t hear me ask for pineapple juice? She then proceeded to talk badly about me to my partner while they were closing our tab. overall, I hope management takes this complaint seriously as her treating customers rudely is nothing new and definitely doesn’t help businesses. She is extremely unprofessional and rude. It is very unfortunate that NYNE has someone like that in a place where people are supposed to feel accepted and welcome. If you don’t like drunk people, don’t work at a bar. I did nothing to warrant being treated that way and it was a disappointment and hurtful.
