Forest Park (Gay Cruising Area)

Forest Park — St. Louis's vast 1,300-acre green space just west of the Central West End — has a long-standing, discreet gay cruising tradition along its wooded trails and quieter corners, historically around the park's eastern lakes and paths after dusk. By day it is one of America's great urban parks, home to the art museum, zoo, history museum and the Muny outdoor theatre, so it is busy and family-oriented and ordinary discretion is essential. Missouri's statewide climate is conservative and the park is patrolled; public encounters are not legally sanctioned, so use common sense and keep safety and privacy in mind.
