Advance Medical Care Planning Workshop

Knowing how to plan for routine medical care is important regardless of our age, but for our community the stakes are much higher when we start to consider the increasing complexities of elder care and the increasing need for others to be part of that decision making cycle.

In this workshop, we will focus on creating a plan that helps you MAINTAIN CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE in all situations. We will discuss the importance of Advanced Medical Care Planning for LGBTQ+ elders and how you can choose the people you want to be making decisions when you can’t, what decisions you want to have made for you, when you want them made, and who gets to make sure YOUR WISHES are honored at all times.

Our community workshop offers education and insight about advance healthcare topics like power of attorney and living wills and provides necessary legal documents.

Participants can join in-person or virtually on Zoom.
