United States Scored 1.0 1.0 Reviewed: August 13, 2026 So disappointing that we left and moved to another hotel — a waste of our vacation time and money, and I would not stay I was extremely disappointed with our stay. During breakfast, a staff member made an inappropriate and embarrassing comment to my son about how much food he was eating, asking him why he was eating so much and whether it was too much for him. I found this completely unacceptable, especially when speaking to a child. We also had to wait in lines just to enter the breakfast area, and the cleanliness was very poor. We even found dishes that were not properly cleaned. The flies was everywhere. The pool area was another serious concern. We found feces in the pool/bathroom area, which was absolutely disgusting and unacceptable for a hotel at this price level. The beach experience was also extremely frustrating. Staff repeatedly told us where we could and could not place our umbrella and kept asking us to move farther back. I have young children and needed to stay close enough to safely watch them while they were near the water. Instead of being able to relax and enjoy our vacation, we constantly felt restricted and uncomfortable. The experience became so disappointing that on our final day, I decided to leave and move my family to another hotel. Our experience there was much better, and we did not have to deal with the same unnecessary restrictions, poor treatment, or service issues. I paid good money expecting a relaxing family vacation, but instead I wasted my time and money dealing with problems. I am extremely dissatisfied with this stay and genuinely believe I should receive a refund or appropriate compensation. • Studio Suite King Bed - Oceanfront • 3 nights · August 2026 • Family

Nice hotel and facilities, but hygiene and cleanliness are a real problem. The hotel itself is nice, the facilities are good, and most of the staff are genuinely very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the level of cleanliness and hygiene is clearly not up to the standard expected from this type of hotel. Our room was poorly cleaned: the floor had clearly not been vacuumed properly and the table had not even been cleaned. The situation around the pool is particularly concerning. As the day goes on, the area becomes increasingly dirty: used glasses accumulate, rubbish is left around, and the floor gets visibly dirty. What is most surprising is that there seems to be no regular cleaning or intermediate maintenance during the day. The dirt simply accumulates for hours, apparently without anyone taking responsibility for it. Around a swimming pool, this is not just a question of appearance - basic hygiene should be a priority. Staff let people enterring with their shoes into the pool … no policy at all. Breakfast is another example of the lack of attention to cleanliness. There is a long queue in the morning, tables are slow to be cleared, and when you are finally seated, tables are often cleaned very quickly and incompletely. Food is left on the edges of the table, so you end up eating around leftover food and dirt from previous guests. This is simply not acceptable from a hygiene perspective. There are also some other disappointing points. The small hotel shop charges $10 for a single diaper, which feels excessive. At the beach, you get two chairs, but almost everything else is an extra charge - including the umbrella, which costs $30 and is practically essential. The hotel chairs are also positioned behind the mattresses, so you don't really get a good view of the sea. It's a shame because the hotel has good infrastructure and the staff are, for the most part, very nice and welcoming. But the recurring cleanliness and hygiene issues, particularly around the pool and breakfast area, seriously undermine the overall experience.

Associate Sara Yalein at the pool gave such wonderful customer service to us during our anniversary vacation. She was pleasant and helpful with an awesome attitude. I wanted to acknowledge her. I wish her well and hope to see her during our next visit.

Currently staying here in room 687 and the good: Very nice beach, pools, room view, and location at VA beach are great! The reasons for 1 rating: 1 - the AC thermostat is on an occupancy timer that uses motion, but the motion detector has no visibility of the bed. Its a great idea to save power and money except that guests must wake up and get out of bed 2x per night to reactivate the AC. You will wake up naturally because the room gets hot because the AC timed out after 3-4 hours. Very annoying. 2 - cleanliness. Our pillows stank, and we had a few dirty towels/wash cloths folded in with fresh towels as if clean. 3 - reception is overloaded from 4-7 pm due to check ins and there is no dedicated person to take calls for questions or requests. 4 - the indoor resturant had an excessive amount of flies. I know maybe 1 or 2 might sneak in but the number of flies in the kitchen seemed to be more a sign of negligence. 5 - the free breakfast and evening happy hours are overloaded because the resturant doesn't seem physically large enough to support the number of hotel guests. So if the allure of free breakfast and evening cocktail sway you, you'll be disappointed with long waits for a table. We probably wouldn't stay here again based on our experience so far.
