Main Clubs

• Club Revenge (32-34 Old Steine) — Brighton's main gay superclub; large dance floor, multiple rooms, weekly themed nights including Poptastic (pop music), G-A-Y Brighton, and others. Open until late; the go-to for serious clubbing. On the seafront road, easy to find.
• Subline — underground gay club with a darker, more electronic sound; popular with bears and leather crowd. More alternative than Revenge.

Bars — Kemptown

• Legends Bar (31-34 Marine Parade) — seafront bar and hotel; pool, sun deck, and stunning sea views. Popular for afternoon drinks and early evening; ground floor bar is welcoming and busy on weekends.
• The Zone (St James's Street) — busy bar in the heart of Kemptown; regular drag shows, karaoke, and entertainment. A reliable crowd seven nights a week.
• Bulldog (31 St James's Street) — one of Kemptown's older venues; bar downstairs, small club upstairs. Unpretentious, mixed gay crowd, good for a pub-style evening.
• Doctor Brightons (16 Kings Road, seafront) — gay pub on the seafront with Victorian-era decor; cozy and welcoming. One of the more distinctive interiors on the seafront strip.
• The Camelford Arms (30 Compton Avenue) — neighbourhood gay pub away from the main strip; bears, leather, and locals. More relaxed and local than the St James's Street venues.

Brighton Pride

The first weekend of August — one of the UK's largest Pride events, drawing several hundred thousand people to the city. The parade moves from Hove Lawns through the city centre; Preston Park hosts the main festival with multiple stages. Accommodation books out months in advance and prices spike significantly — book early or consider day-tripping from London (the trains are packed but frequent). The city is completely taken over in a good way; even non-Pride visitors find it hard not to enjoy it.
