⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Schlössle Hotel, Tallinn — A Standout Stay in the Heart of the Old Town Our experience with the Schlössle Hotel began even before we reached the property. The timely arrival of our well‑dressed taxi driver at the airport set the tone for a seamless journey. The immaculate Mercedes provided a luxurious and comfortable ride, and the driver’s professionalism made the transfer feel effortless. At €45, we felt it was excellent value for the comfort and service provided. As our car pulled up to the hotel, the standard of service rose even higher. The porter/concierge, Eric, timed his welcome to perfection — opening the taxi door with a warm greeting, addressing us by name, and inviting us into the foyer while he personally retrieved our luggage. His polished, attentive manner made an immediate impression. Check‑in was handled by Igor, whose calm efficiency made the process smooth and unrushed. We were delighted to learn that we had been given a complimentary upgrade to a suite on the second floor to mark the occasion of a birthday surprise, very kindly arranged by my husband. A complimentary drink added a thoughtful touch to the warm welcome. Eric then escorted us to our beautifully appointed suite, ensuring we were settled and had everything we needed. His care reinforced our first impressions: at the Schlössle, outstanding service is not an exception but the norm. We also had the pleasure of meeting Melina K, a most pleasant and welcoming receptionist whose warm manner and helpful approach added greatly to our stay. Breakfast at the Schlössle Hotel was another highlight. Served in a beautiful medieval dining room, complete with a cosy fire and a wonderfully calm atmosphere, it was the perfect start to each day. The self‑service selection offered an excellent variety of salads, breads, cereals, and yoghurts, all fresh and well presented. The menu was further enhanced by an Estonian version of an Ulster Fry, eggs cooked in any style imaginable, freshly made pancakes, and porridge prepared to order. The service was attentive, warm, and unhurried, and the overall ambience was simply wonderful. The housekeeping team also deserves special praise. They were thorough, amenable, and consistently delivered an outstanding clean, leaving our suite immaculate each day. The thoughtful night‑time turndown service, complete with a tasty chocolate, was a lovely touch. The room itself offered everything we needed, including tea and coffee facilities, a room safe, a well‑stocked fridge, robes, slippers, and a trouser press. It wasn’t long before we met Paudraig, another porter/concierge, whose professionalism and cheerful manner made every interaction a pleasure. No matter what we asked, he had an answer ready — knowledgeable, helpful, and always delivered with warmth. Remarkably, his outstanding service didn’t end when we left the hotel. At the airport, we heard someone call our names — there was Paudraig, offering once again to carry our bags (as well as his own). Truly exceptional service. A memorable stay from beginning to end — made even better by the hotel’s perfect location in the heart of Tallinn’s Old Town, ideal for exploring the city’s charming streets, historic landmarks, and vibrant atmosphere.
Wonderful, very beautiful. The staff was magnificent. Located right in the heart of the old town. The room was superb.
A very quaint old world style hotel. It is very conveniently located in the old town. The staff were very friendly and helpful our whole stay. Our suite room was nice and spacious and clean. The restaurant Stenhus is quite good as well with high quality food. Breakfast is served there as well with many options. A nice gem.
It was a truly wonderful experience staying at this charming hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and the surroundings were peaceful and stylish. We had a large room overlooking the lush garden. The breakfast was delicious and the hot dishes served to order at the table made it extra luxurious. Thanks to the staff for making the stay memorable!
This hotel, if I had to use one word, is luxurious. The people working here are top notch and extremely friendly. They welcomed us with a local sparkling wine. However, as we don’t drink, they offered us a non-alcoholic local sparkling wine. We accepted their offer. The hotel itself is housed in a historic building. As such, they are not allowed to install elevators. As a result, the employees here are willing to take your luggage up and down. Our family had small carry-ons however, my wife saw other guests with big, big luggages. When we arrived in our room, we were greeted with a small assortment of snacks. My nine-year-old daughter, especially loved the macarons. Breakfast is complementary with Hilton Diamond. We had good breakfasts for the time we stayed here. We were also able to book the sauna for an hour for two days. That was also complementary with Hilton Diamond. We had to leave really early to get to the airport. So we missed the breakfast on the third day. However, the hotel staff packed us a goodie bag of breakfast to take on the road so we could eat at the airport. I was just a sandwich, yogurt, and fruit. They also accommodated my food allergies, which was nice. I wish we looked in the bag before we left, though because we also received three bottles of water. Unfortunately, we could not take the water with us through security so we had to leave it in the airport. If we ever come back to Tallinn, we will definitely consider staying here again.
Tallinn is a fairy tale town now one of our favorites in Europe, and this is it's gem. Staff make it special, from welcome by Alina and George to Martin assisting our departure, helpful attentive and friendly every day. We had 3 wonderful days, made all the more special by an upgrade to room 31 the top floor suite which was unbelievable with private jacuzzi and sauna. British heads of state have stayed there multiple times and it is clear why. The lobby is basically a den from the 1600s. Breakfast is highly recommended served in old stone cellar their Benedict and omelettes are best start to the day. Bedding was a welcome delight. Location is ideal, can get anywhere in old town in five minutes. Massages offered in house as well. We cannot wait to return and enjoy the Schlossle again.
