About the event

BERTHA: Grateful Drag has partnered with PLUS1 so that $1 from every ticket sold goes to the Ruth Ellis Center and their work creating opportunities with LGBTQ+ young people to build their vision for a positive future.

BERTHA: Grateful Drag brings the Grateful Dead’s legendary sound to life with a whole lot of queer joy, drag, and rock ’n’ roll. Born in Tennessee in 2023 as a joyful response to anti-drag legislation, this one-of-a-kind tribute brings together powerhouse musicians and performers to celebrate community, inclusivity, and the enduring spirit of the Dead.

Led by Caitlin Doyle and GRAMMY-winning songwriter Melody Walker, BERTHA blends the Grateful Dead’s timeless catalog with soaring vocals, deep grooves, and a high-energy late ’70s and early ’80s sound. Expect a classic two-set, three-hour jam experience, complete with fresh, never-repeated setlists that keep every show unique.

After selling out their debut and earning attention from Rolling Stone and the San Francisco Chronicle, BERTHA has taken its celebration to stages including Newport Folk Festival and San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall. Every performance also supports a local LGBTQ+ organization and features drag or burlesque performers from the host city.

For fans of: Grateful Dead, jam bands, psychedelic rock, Americana, bluegrass, drag, and unapologetic queer celebration.
