Paris has both indoor cruising clubs and well-known outdoor spots. The indoor venues are year-round and consistent. The outdoor scene is most active in the warmer months, though some spots run all year.

Indoor cruising venues

Several dedicated cruising clubs operate in Paris, some of them attached to saunas and some operating as standalone sex clubs. Most are in or near Le Marais or within a couple of metro stops. Entry typically costs €10–€20 and includes use of the facilities: dark rooms, mazes, glory holes, and themed areas vary by venue.

Some run themed nights — leather, fetish, bear, younger crowd — on specific days of the week. Worth checking the venue's social media before going if you have a preference, since the atmosphere on a themed night is different from a general session.

Bois de Boulogne

The Bois de Boulogne is a large park on the western edge of Paris, between the 16th arrondissement and the suburb of Boulogne-Billancourt. It covers around 850 hectares and has been a known outdoor cruising area for decades. The activity is concentrated in the wooded sections in the northern and central parts of the park, particularly after dark.

The park is accessible by metro: Porte Maillot (line 1) and Porte Dauphine (line 2) are the most useful entry points for the northern sections. By car, there is parking along the main roads through the park.

It operates openly, the police presence is occasional and mostly unrelated to the cruising activity, and the area is well established enough that it functions without much ambiguity. Go on a warm evening and the crowd is consistent. Outside summer, activity drops significantly but does not stop entirely.

The park is large enough that navigation takes some getting used to. Stick to the paths in the wooded northern section. Bring a torch if you are going after dark — the lighting is sparse once you move away from the main roads.

Practical notes

Condoms and lube are available from the sex shops in Le Marais and from vending machines in most of the saunas and indoor venues. Some indoor venues have a small shop at the front with basics.

The indoor venues are safer in terms of personal security than the outdoor spots. At the Bois de Boulogne, as with any large outdoor cruising area, standard awareness applies: go with your phone charged, do not carry more cash than you need, and be aware of your surroundings. Incidents are rare but not unknown.
