Paris Bear Pride
About This Event
Fierté Ours (Paris Bear Pride) is the yearly bear weekend run by Les Ours de Paris, a small volunteer association whose president has described a 12-person team behind it. It has been held every spring since 2008 over the Ascension long weekend, and Bear World Magazine put turnout at more than 2,000 bears and admirers from France and abroad.
The format is four or five days of bar nights at places like Cox, Quetzal and Bears' Den, sauna nights, picnics and dinners, a bear cruise on the Seine, and the election of Monsieur Ours, which has been held at Petit Bain, the barge venue on the Seine in the 13th. Past editions ran 17 to 21 May 2023 and 8 to 12 May 2024.
We couldn't confirm the dates or programme of the 2026 edition. The Paris tourism office lists a May 2027 edition with Petit Bain as the Monsieur Ours venue, but the exact 2027 dates hadn't been announced when we checked. Ascension weekend is the likely slot; Les Ours de Paris post the programme on their social accounts.
