Paris Pride Fortnight

The Quinzaine des Fiertés is the run-up to the Paris Pride march: about two weeks of debates, screenings, shows and parties organised by the Inter-LGBT, the umbrella group of some 60 Paris LGBTQ+ associations that also runs the march itself. It started in 2016, and its point is to give Pride a political programme, not just a parade day.

Events are spread across the city in association spaces, bars and cultural venues, and the Inter-LGBT publishes the programme before it starts. A lot of it is talks in French; the evening parties are easier if you don't speak the language. The fortnight normally ends with the Marche des Fiertés on the last Saturday of June.

2026 was the odd year. The Quinzaine ran from 11 to 27 June, but the Paris police prefecture ordered the march cancelled because of the heatwave, with the same order hitting the Solidays festival. In August the Inter-LGBT confirmed an autumn date, and the march finally happened on 3 October 2026, from Place d'Italie to Place de la Bastille. AFP reported several tens of thousands of marchers and a very political mood ahead of the presidential election, with placards aimed at the far right. The 2027 dates hadn't been announced when we checked.
