Epic Sana Hotel (Luanda)

My stay at the EPIC SANA Hotel Luanda was excellent. This pleasant five-star property offers a high level of comfort along with a wide range of amenities, including multiple restaurants, inviting pools, and a well-equipped gym. The breakfast features an extensive selection of options from freshly prepared omelettes and fresh juices to Asian and French specialties ensuring there is something for every taste. What truly stood out, however, was the staff: consistently friendly, attentive, and professional, they made the entire experience feel welcoming and seamless. I would gladly return and can highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Luanda.

Location of Epic Sana hotel is convenient.Nice hotel with nice rooms, stable internet, hotel is safe , great gym ,nice pool & restaurant, amazing breakfast with lot of fresh fruits, variety of options that they will prepare in front of you. If you are going on vacation or business travel, this hotel is a great choice! Spent 5 nights there. My room was standard room, nothing special but sill ok🫰🏻so if you want to experience better cozy stay, opt for executive rooms which are more spacious, more quiet. The restaurant at the pool is epic with great views of the city and the ocean.

Convenient location. Reception, restaurant and bar give a good vibe. But that changes when you get to your room. Rooms are dated in comparison with the downstairs area. And then you look out your windows

Warning: the hotel uses a deceptive and inflated conversion rate for rooms. I booked online, with the listed invoice as $807.47 for 3 nights. During checkin i was charged 811,802.29 kwanza. Official exchange rate shouldve been ~915 to $1, but my credit card was charged $890.18. Do the math. The manager originally tried to blame the discrepancy on currency fluctuations between the time of booking and checkin. After showing that i booked 2hrs before checkin, the next excuse was that the govt allegedly has a different exchange rate thats specific to hotels. This is also a lie, as i just left Protea hotel the previous day. Additionally, i was charged 53500 for their sunday brunch, which showed on my credit card as $58.67. My meal in their other restaurant also reflected an exchange rate of ~912 to $1 (27000 bill charged as $29.61) Ive seen this trick many times - the inflated exchange rate is meant to convince customers to pay in USD instead of local currency. Watch your invoice carefully and do not trust these people. Other than that, my stay was decent, and brunch was very good.

I spent a little over three weeks here. Great hotel! The room service is excellent, the restaurants offer exquisite dishes, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel offers a stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean and Luanda's sprawling skyline. The location is also excellent, with both a shopping mall and the beach within easy reach.
