Movimento Eu Sou Trans

Movimento Eu Sou Trans is an Angolan trans-rights movement founded in 2019 and active in Luanda. It focuses on visibility, dignity and access to health and legal support for transgender people, and has partnered with international programmes on LGBTQ+ inclusion in the region. Like the country's other queer organisations it works with discretion in a conservative social environment, coordinating much of its activity through trusted networks and social media. For transgender visitors and locals it is a meaningful point of contact for community and peer support in a city with no public trans venues.
