Credit where it's due, the views from the lift and chandeliers were gorgeous. But sadly, despite booking this for the final 3 nights of our honeymoon, so we could be somewhere central and premium as a treat before we went home, our stay was disappointing. To start with, our check-in was quite strange: even though we'd booked a specific high room with city view, the receptionist made a point of telling us that they normally don't have a view but she'd make sure ours did (odd, as we'd booked specifically for this purpose). However, the main issue was we were double-charged for the room (c. £850) and the staff were really bad in helping us rectify the issue. We had paid in advance, but the same member of staff above asked for my card at reception when we checked in - I thought we'd prepaid but was tired from travel and assumed I was mistaken or it was an authorisation check in case we purchased stuff. However, when we checked out, the hotel receptionist informed me that they had indeed accidentally double-charged us for the room. Despite having the original card and *them* being the ones to flag the issue, they wouldn't offer me a refund then and there unless I provided the receipt for their mistake (which being packed up and ready for a 14 hour flight home, I didn't have easily to hand). They informed me I'd have to wait until Monday when their accounting department opened to reimburse me. I have never in my life been in a situation before where such an established brand not only made such a high value mistake but then claimed there was nothing they could do, with no gesture of goodwill or anything to make up for it. Overall, this has rather put me off Hyatt, and for a special occasion, I certainly wouldn't dream of booking them again. Shame, because we really thought this would be the highlight of our honeymoon, but the capsule hotel we stayed in the days before had miles better service (and a public bath, so better facilities too!) (Also, as a heads up in case you are mistake from old TripAdvisor reviews, there is no swimming pool and no jacuzzi: unless you're paying for the spa services, the only thing you appear able to use is the gym, which is nice in that its on the top floor with a great view, but is not really designed for leisure if that's the style of trip you're on. Not the hotel's fault in this case, but it's also not super clear from Googling and we would've booked somewhere else if we'd realised.)

Immediately after checking in, I was surprised when a Vietnamese staff member came to my room to check on the broken USB port, walking in without shoes and still wearing tights. Regarding checkout, there are long lines during peak hours, so I wish they would implement something like express checkout (only for those who don't pay extra) where you can just drop off your card. This is standard practice at other major hotel groups. I expect service worthy of the Hyatt Group name.

Amazing rooms. Great service. Breakfast buffet was amazing and had a great spread. The location can feel a little isolated for tourists - easy to get to Shibuya and other lively areas, but there is not much going around the hotel itself.

Coming to Tokyo I was told there would barely be any space in your hotel room for luggages. We had 4 luggages between 2 people so I was dreading the squeeze but I was very pleasantly surprised that our room could fit 4 open luggages and still have plenty of seating area. The hotel is beautiful as well. I love the renovated interiors that still preserved the integrity of the old design of the hotel. I couldn't help taking photos of the interiors. Service was great. Staff were all warm and accommodating. They were always extremely helpful when we needed assistance. Location is a bit of a walk from Shinjuku city center but love that the hotel provides a shuttle service going to and coming from Shinjuku. The subway is also very easily accessible from the hotel. I really enjoyed my quick trip in Tokyo and Hyatt Regency was the cherry on top.

I used the facilities for a meeting. I forgot my bag in the restroom, but when I informed a staff member, they delivered it to the meeting place. The staff's service coordination was excellent!
