Melbourne Queer Film Festival

O MQFF começou em fevereiro de 1991 como parte do Midsumma, tornou-se um festival incorporado em 1992 e mudou-se para março, e agora acontece em novembro. Ele tem como base o Victorian Pride Centre em St Kilda.
Todas as sessões são pagas. Em 2025, o centro das atenções foi o Cinema Nova em Carlton, com grandes eventos em Collins Place, Melbourne Town Hall e no Capitol. Pacotes de curtas-metragens e alguns longas também foram transmitidos nacionalmente no MQFF+ por uma semana extra. A programação completa sai cerca de um mês antes.
A 35ª edição ocorreu de 13 a 23 de novembro de 2025 e abriu com a comédia queer de zumbis Queens of the Dead. A estrela de Pose, Dominique Jackson, recebeu o primeiro Tribute Award do festival. O MQFF anunciou oficialmente a 36ª edição de 13 de novembro (noite de abertura) a 22 de novembro de 2026. Não conseguimos encontrar números de público publicados.
