O Melbourne Queer Film Festival (MQFF) é o festival queer de cinema em atividade mais longa da Austrália, anual em março no ACMI (Australian Centre for the Moving Image) na Federation Square e em outras salas. Fundado em 1991, o MQFF apresenta uma programação curada de cinema australiano e internacional LGBTQ+, incluindo longas, curtas, documentários e eventos especiais. A escolha do ACMI — instituição dedicada à cultura audiovisual de Melbourne no coração do CBD — reflete o respeito conquistado pelo festival junto à comunidade LGBTQ+ e ao setor cultural mais amplo. O MQFF tem público de cerca de 15 mil a 20 mil pessoas ao longo da programação e é plataforma para cineastas LGBTQ+ da Austrália e do mundo há mais de três décadas.
