Sobre este lugar San Blas Bay

San Blas Bay is a small red-sand cove on Gozo's north coast, below the village of Nadur and east of Ramla Bay. A steep track runs down to it, and the climb back up is hard work. That keeps numbers low, and it is the most relaxed of Gozo's beaches for gay visitors. There is no official gay section. Public nudity is illegal in Malta, so any nude sunbathing at the far edges is discreet and at your own risk, and families use the cove too. Facilities are minimal, perhaps a seasonal kiosk, so bring water and shade.

Total disappointment, I didn't see any red sand (I read that it disappeared over time), an anonymous place in my opinion, the sea in my view is nothing exceptional, to reach the place you have to go down a long and steep concrete ramp under a scorching sun, there were 5 or 6 people in all, besides the refreshment stand manager (a kind person I can say), personally I was disappointed

Lovely beach and worth the effort to get there. Crystal clear water with sun beds available from the excellent restaurant behind the beach. It is a scary drive with very limited parking followed by and even scarier walk down a crazy steep hill. Not for the faint hearted or those with weak knees !

Small local beach that is well worth a visit. The best way to get here is by boat or a short hike along a steep path.

This is a worthwhile visit but you need to show resilience downhill and uphill as the car is pretty inaccessible unless you have a 4 wheel drive. This is a small sandy beach with turquoise waters. Not very busy - and an excellent kiosk serving fresh fish- try it!

Hard to find but was worth the small walk. Not too crowded and far more pictural, we've been there 2 times on a 4 days visit.

We were staying in Nadur and this place was only a mile and a half walk, so we decided to try it. A pleasant walk at first but just above the beach you start to descend and it gets very steep. As 4 elderly people we decided not to go all the way down because we thought it could be difficult getting back up! There is a car park half way down and I believe you can get a lift back up, at a price of course. From our view point it looked very lovely and quiet. we enjoyed our walk and the younger set should have no problems visiting the beach.

The beach is not very accessible by car, and you need to take an umbrella with you. there is a small bar that serves drinks and some food. Because it is less accesible it is normally less busy and thus less noisy. It's not suitable for older persons due to the very steep hill to get down, unless of course you radio Mario to pick you up!

We tried to drive to this beach and although you can get down to a small area to park there is only room for possibly 4 cars. I ended up having to do a three point turn which was pretty bad given the Steep drop below. The beach is mainly pebbles and rocks now, this was due to a recent storm that stripped the beach of all its sand. Only visit this place if Your fit and don’t mind walking down a steep decent and back up again. Not one for me personally as there are tonnes of other beautiful beaches on Gozo far more accessible and less strain on the body. Given the summer humidity and heat this beach is not for the faint hearted.

2nd visit to san blas, first visit is what you see on google images, small beach, beautiful making the walk up and down the steep hill worth it. This time when when we got down the hill there is no beach...due to a storm in early 2019, my understanding is it will come back in time, but for now what you are left with is a cafe and a rocky seating area.....

very unique "beach". Well, there is very few place to lay on your towel however its rocks, stones and the overall view is inevitably breathtaking!
