RoB Amsterdam

I’ve admired RoB gear - the bondage gear and sexy leather jeans - for years now. When I finally got ready to order their signature mouth and chin gag, I was so sad to know they were out of stock. Months later they were available again and DAMN was it worth the wait. The workmanship is exquisite, and so is the quality of the leather. The smell alone is instant arousal. Turns out they’ve hired a new craftsman, and my purchase is from his first batch of their signature gags. More evidence they are hiring only the best, I’m beyond happy. Well done.

Regarding delivery via UPS when ordering online: My package was supposed to be delivered last Friday morning. However, this did not happen and was then postponed until Saturday morning. That didn't happen either and was postponed until Saturday afternoon. At 9:00 PM, I concluded—even though the app said it would still be delivered that day—that this didn't happen either. It is now Monday morning and I have been waiting for my package for the fourth half-day!! According to the email, it will be delivered before 12:45 PM. However, I just heard on the phone from a not particularly friendly employee that it will be delivered 'before the end of the day'. UPS makes your blood boil!!! I will never order from a company that works with UPS again.

Good choice of items for sale, all nice quality. Some staff there were really helpful, but another one wasn't particularly welcoming. Great choice of leather wear and matching belts & braces, treated myself to a set and will come back for another one!

There are days when the universe decides: “Today leather and fate are mingled.” At 11:00 AM, we stood at the door of RoB Amsterdam — the legendary leather goods factory where scent, history, and fetish meet. My wife Els (half German, total chaos) walked in as if Matthias Reim were holding a meet-and-greet. I myself paused for a moment by the facade: a beautiful building, an artisanal feel. You can feel that they work with real leather here, not with frills. Inside: tables full of tools, loops, buckles, lacquer. A workshop where everything is alive. Els asked if she could try on a jacket “for research.” The employee smiled professionally — the smile of someone who has seen it all. Yes, the prices are steep. Yes, not everything fits every body. But fair is fair: the craftsmanship is unparalleled. Here, leather is still treated as if it were a religion. 4 stars. Craftsmanship: top-notch. Atmosphere: raw but real. My wife: ecstatic. I, to myself, just thought: this is what Etsy shops like Johnny’s Vintage and Leathers once dreamed of — the smell of real craftsmanship.

We were initially excited to visit RoB Amsterdam… but it was super disappointing when we arrived. We were planning to spend hundreds in the store on new gear… but the employees were ultimately unhelpful and very rude. We asked if they had a “RoB Amsterdam” t-shirt in my size. In response, the staff suggested that RoB Amsterdam is not for “large” or overweight men. The store has a leather shop in the back… but apparently they won’t even do custom work for larger guys. Also… they want almost nine euros for small size Crisco? 😂 I’d leave zero stars if that were an option. The folks who own this shop need to visit Berlin or San Francisco and take notes on how great leather/fetish stores treat customers and offer great products.

You can find the toys and accessories yourself. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's definitely worth a visit.
