Citybox Danmarksplass

The hotel is very much a self service hotel. This all works very well. Rooms are tipsy and have everything you need but they are a bit small. So if the weather is bad and you spekt time in your room be aware of that size. Location is super convenient with tram stop right around the corner Bets you into the center in 15 minuten. Parking is available around the corner but costs about 25 EUR per day.

Location is great, clean and nice room, luggage storage service great. I was unfortunate to be the first to find out that the vendor machine was caput (No cooling - hot coke...). But the rep on duty fixed a cold bottle for me, so the service was perfect and I got what I needed :) It's possible to order breakfast at the adjesant restaurant, which is good and practically in the same room as the hotel lobby, but the second morning the Coffee machine had broken down and had to buy coffee at the coffee machine in the hotel.... I think this should have been made available without charging extra when you already have been charged for breakfast at 198,- NOK..... But still not a big issue and will not stop me from booking again at City Box :)

Ok hotel but super bad breakfast

Not recommended. Far from the city center. Very poor service, inexperienced and unfriendly staff. They don't even store luggage for a few hours. Rooms are adequate. Look for other options if you can.

Very good service, clean, good bed, warm atmosphere.

The room was neat and clean, though a few touches were missing (it would be nice to have a shower mat and the garbage emptied daily). The location was convenient, but the neighborhood wasn't great. Highly recommended, though.

Very basic, economy accommodation. Room was clean and wifi available, lights were partly burnt out in my room (a trend at a number of hotels on this trip?) but otherwise bright. Top floor was quiet and its close to town. Citybox didn't honour the "member" early check in benefit even arriving only 30 min before standard check in. This seems automated as the front desk staff was unable to bypass.
